Working Batchoy

First day at work!

Kalowkah!

I was called by the HR to come for (yet?) another client interview yesterday at 7PM. Which means, aabsent ako sa last period ko na class. I up and went to the office. There were around 6 of us waiting for the client interview. We were then told that we would be subjected to another round of client interview because we were handpicked by the US based clients as the top scorers in English Proficiency. Kever! Bring it on nang matapos na tey!

When the client interview was over and done with, I hung around sa kofishop sa baba ng ofis. I didn't feel like going home yet. After a while, nag ring ang fone ko. It was the HR calling, informing me that we would go on board for product training at 10PM-6AM! Tama ba naman yun? Can you say "Ambush?" Eh pano kung me prior engagement?

Watever! Bring it on! Training at 10 it is. As I was told before, skip na nga kami ng English or Amspeak training. Diretchong product training na kami. One week lang na product training, sasalang na kami sa floor to take calls by next Monday! Plus, kahit ramp up lang, mas matagal ang hiring period namin. We will be on board for a whole month, as opposed to other ramp up hires who will be on English training for a week, Product training for another week, and a final week on the floor.

Me likey! sinabi ulit sa amin that we will be posted on the Customer Service Help Desk. We will not be taking costumer calls. We will be taking florists concerns instead. Vale kami yung trouble shooting team pag me problema sa orders ang florists. Kami ang tatawag sa client to confirm, re confirm and what nots pag nagka problema ang florists sa orders. We were also told na merong opening for regular hires para sa CSHD. If we do good, some of us may be extended for regular hiring.

14 kami. Anim lang kaming lalaki out of 14. Lets just say that the pickings are few. The other single muraya is a fag hag/bitch na feelingera, at ang isa ay mountain goat. 'Nuff said! That leaves me and another guy for karirability. For a lack of a better choice, as early as the first day, dead as a dead duck ang chances for karir sa team namin. There was this tall mestizo guy na mukhang crush ng madla. Except me. I know there was something I couldn't quite place about him that's just so wrong.

Pinagbasa kami one by one nung powerpoint slides. Everytime mestizo's turn comes to read, laging merong mali mali sa pagbabasa nya; pronunciation and diction wise. He would stumble with the sentences. The last straw was when he read Purple as Parfool! Kumusta naman itey? Kala ko ba, proficient and cream of the crop ang team na to? Eh mas magaling pa ang little sister ko sa mokong na to eh. Sana sya na lang isinama sa team, if not Alvi or Gucci!

Anyhoot.

BOUVARDIA! Sosiness!!!

At ang Kalachuchi ay...

PLUMERIA! or West Indian Jasmine!

Oh well...

Enjoy naman ang first day.

According to our records, sir, your last transaction was with Thay-Toys"

Yep, sa Tatoy's. Grabee! Believe ako sa training nyo! Bouvardia!
