Pulong Binalaybay 2008





Yanggaw: The Capiz Writer's Circle, The Capiz Council for the Arts and the Sentro ng Wikang Filipino, University of The Phillippines in the Visayas in Cooperation with The National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) is proud to bring you Pulong Binalaybay 2008. A Western Visayan Poetry Reading and Critical Forum Day at the Museo Iloilo on November 21, 2008.

A first in Hiligaynon Contemporary Literature, Pulong Binalaybay brings together 10 of Western Visayas' Contemporary Hiligaynon Poets in a day of poetry readings, critical discussions, forum and performances. Among the panel of poets are Multi-Awarded, Palanca Hall of Fame Recepient and Father of Hiligaynon Contemporary Literature Dr. Leoncio Deriada; 5-time Palanca Award Winner and Two Time National Book Awards Finalist Prof. John Iremil Teodoro; Father of Contemporary Akeanon Literature and Gawad Alagad ni Balagtas Awardee Prof. Melchor Cichon; Past NCCA Regional Chair for Literature and Homelife Poetry Awardee Dr. Zenaida French; Capiznon Dynamic Duo in Literature and Palanca Award winners Bryan Mari Argos and Meritage Press Global Holiday Poetry Grand Winner Marcel Milliam and more Hiligaynon big acheivers.


All literature enthusiasts, peotry lovers and Hiligaynon culture supporters are invited to come to the Museo Iloilo at Bonifacio Drive, Iloilo City on November 21, 2008, Friday.
